Addison Rae’s father to undergo court approved paternity test

Tik Tok star Addison Rae’s family drama has taken another turn, as her father Monty Lopez has agreed to undergo a paternity test to determine whether he is the biological father of his 12 year old son, Lucas.

According to American entertainment news outlet TMZ, a Louisiana judge recently approved an agreement requiring Lopez, 50, to submit to DNA testing within the next few days.

The cost of the test will reportedly be covered by Rae’s mother, Sheri Easterling, pending the outcome of the results.

The legal development comes amid an ongoing custody dispute. Easterling, 46, filed a petition last year seeking sole custody of Lucas. Court filings reportedly suggest she has asked that Lopez’s visitation be supervised.

Easterling and Lopez have had a turbulent relationship over the years. The pair first married in the early 2000s, divorced, reconciled and remarried in 2018, before separating again in 2022. They also share an older son, Enzo, 18.

According to court documents cited by multiple outlets, Easterling accused Lopez of verbal abuse during their marriage. She also referenced past incidents involving alleged misconduct and raised concerns about his history with alcohol related arrests.

Lopez has previously faced multiple DUI charges, according to filings.

The custody petition also referenced Lopez’s 2025 arrest in Louisiana on a felony obscenity charge stemming from an alleged 2024 incident.

Authorities claimed at the time that he exposed himself in a public setting. Lopez has pleaded not guilty and is scheduled to appear in court next month.

Despite the legal challenges, Lopez recently made headlines for his whirlwind marriage to medical professional Kaitlyn Nicole Robins in Las Vegas last October. In interviews, he described the union as “love at first sight.”

Meanwhile, Rae’s career continues to flourish. The 25 year old entertainer recently performed her single Fame Is A Gun at the Grammy Awards and was nominated for Best New Artist, further cementing her evolution from TikTok sensation to mainstream pop figure.

As the court ordered paternity test proceeds, the outcome could significantly shape the ongoing custody proceedings and add another chapter to a family story that has frequently played out in the public eye.
