Sindh cabinet approves Rs 33.7bn for purchase of firefighting, emergency system

Sindh cabinet has decided to revolutionise the firefighting and emergency systems of the province and approved a package of Rs 33.7 billion for the project, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

According to detail, a public alert system will also be introduced besides purchasing of special equipment and vehicles for firefighting 

Sindh Cabinet also approved contact with the Chinese Consulate in this regard. 

Under the approved plan, 100 fire tenders, 35 water bowsers, 50 snorkels and all-terrain fire vehicles will be purchased. 

8 firefighting drones and 12 multi-purpose drones will also be purchased.  The project will cost Rs 32.7 billion over three years. 

A committee comprising Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah and Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hassan has been formed.
