Two-year-old boy drowns in rainwater in Gujranwala

A two-year-old boy drowned in accumulated rainwater in Pathan Colony near Alam Chowk, rescue officials said.

The child was identified as Salman, son of Muntasir.

According to initial reports, rainwater had collected in fields near the family’s home. A neighbour spotted the missing child in the water and alerted rescue services.

Rescue teams reached the scene, recovered the child’s body and shifted it to a hospital for necessary legal and medical procedures.
