Muharram moon likely to be sighted on June 26

The moon of the holy month of Muharram is expected to be sighted on June 26 (Thursday), and the first Muharram would be on June 27 (Friday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the new moon would easily be visible due to clear skies.
Elaborating further, he said that the birth of the new moon would take place on June 25 at 3:32 in the afternoon, and on June 26 at sunset, it would be 28 hours, 15 minutes old.
