A police team carried out a raid at the residence of renowned Pakistani designer Maria B and forcefully took her husband Tahir Saeed with them for hiding a coronavirus case. 

According to details, one of Maria B’s servants Umar Farooq working in her home tested positive for Coronavirus.

Farooq was then sent to his village by Tahir Saeed through a bus. The reports doing the rounds on social media claimed that chef Umar Farooq has been shifted to an isolation ward while Tahir Saeed has been taken into custody for his alleged criminal act of hiding the disease of his servant and negligence.

In a video message, the designer said: “This is an appeal to Prime Minister Imran Khan, last night my house was raided by policemen as if I was the biggest drug mafia don in Lahore.”

Maria said they arrested her husband saying an FIR is registered against him. “Punjab police arrested my husband without any reason and my family was treated like criminals. We are the ones who are suffering the pain. Is this the system we have in Punjab?” Maria asked.
