Pakistan, Afghanistan vie in first T20 match in Sharjah tonight

Pakistan and Afghanistan are set to cross swords in the first match of three-match T20 series in Sharjah tonight, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The match between the two teams will be played at Sharjah cricket stadium at 9:00 PM. The trophy of the series was unveiled, and the captains and players of both the teams also held a photo session.
Strict security arrangements will be made at Sharjah cricket stadium. It has been suggested to arrange seating for the spectators of both the countries in separate enclaves.
The three T20 matches of the series will be played in Sharjah on March 24, 26 and 27, respectively.
Pakistani squad for the series includes: Shadab Khan (c), Abdullah Shafiq, Azam Khan, Faheem Ashraf, Iftikhar Ahmed, Ihsanullah, Imad Wasim, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Wasim Jr., Saim Ayub, Shan Masood, Tayyab Tahir Naseem Shah, and Zaman Khan.
Leg-spinner Rashid Khan will captain Afghanistan for the series against Pakistan.
Pakistan’s record in Sharjah cricket stadium has been excellent. The green shirts remained undefeated in six matches against different teams.
Pakistan won both the matches against Afghanistan in Sharjah cricket stadium. In December 2013, the green shirts had won by six wickets.
The second match was held in September last year, and Pakistan had won by only one wicket after a tough competition.
Pakistan had won brilliantly in all three matches against Afghanistan. The third match was held in Dubai in October 2021 in which the green shirts had won by five wickets. Afghanistan had scored 147 runs for six wickets, and Pakistan achieved the target for five wickets. Babar Azam’s fifty was included in the match.
