Enormous stock of spurious medicines seized in Mandi Bahauddin

Drug control team raided the fake medicine factory in Mandi Bahauddin and seized stock of fake medicine in enormous quantity, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The crackdown on fake medicine has been conducted on the direction of Provincial Minister Primary and Secondary Health Care Khawaja Imran Nazir which continues across Punjab.

Spurious Pyodine, Dettol, and Betnovate cream were being manufactured in the factory, said Khawaja Imran Nazir.

He said accused Mazhar arrested and huge stock in factory, two warehouses seized and sealed three places.

The drug wing team took the samples and sent them to DTL for testing, said Provincial Health Minister.

The drug team was formed under the leadership of Chief Drug Controller Azhar Jamal Salimi.

Deputy Drug Controllers Bilal Yasin, Hasan Haider Shah, Drug Inspectors Laeeq Khan, Amanullah and Drug Controller Mandi Bahauddin Muhammad Afzal were part of the team.
