Punjab Minister for Literacy and Informal Education Raja Rashid Hafeez announced on Saturday he has quarantined himself at home after testing positive for coronavirus. 

In a video message, Raja Rashid said that all people who have been in contact with him should get tested and go into isolation. He appealed to people to pray for his speedy recovery.

As the number of coronavirus cases is increasing rapidly in the country, ministers and other high profile people are falling prey to the deadly virus.

Earlier on Saturday, Punjab Energy Minister Dr Akhtar Malik announced he has quarantined himself at his home after testing positive for Covid-19.

According to a government spokesperson, the test reports of the minister’s family members will be available later in the day and the minister will keep his well-wishers informed through his social media accounts. The energy minister has appealed to his well-wishers to pray for his speedy recovery.
