The governments of Punjab Sindh have imposed Section 144 across their provinces from today (Tuesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab government has imposed Section 144 throughout the province. PML-N leader Attaullah Tarrar addressing a press conference in Lahore said that the Section 144 has been imposed in Punjab province after consultation with the allied parties.

He said that Imran Khan’s only target is to create chaos and the Punjab government will not allow anyone to take law into his hands.

Tarrar said that Imran Khan can put the country at risk for the sake of his own interest. “We had information that these people were coming to Islamabad with weapons,” he added.

Imran Khan is hiding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said.

Earlier, the Sindh government imposed Section 144 across the province for a period of one month in view of deteriorating law and order situation.

Section 144 has been imposed as per Section 195 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).

The Home Ministry of Sindh has issued the notification.

As per the notification, the government has banned all kinds of public gatherings and rallies in the province.

Section 144 prohibits public gathering of any four, five or more persons.

The Section 144 was also imposed in the federal capital for two months.
