Senior PPP leader and former Sindh chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has obtained bail before arrest from Sindh High Court on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Qaim Ali Shah opted for the bail fearing arrest from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) which has summoned him to appear before the Bureau on September 30.
The Sindh High Court has accepted the application and granted the former chief minister bail until October 15 on a surety bond of Rs500,000. Issuing notices to the NAB officials, the court barred them from arresting Qaim Ali Shah until the next hearing.
The court also directed Qaim Ali Shah to fully cooperate with the NAB officials, who are investigating corruption in the release of college funds.
