MNA Munir Khan Orakzai tests positive for coronavirus

Seasoned politician MNA Munir Khan Orakzai was tested positive for coronavirus, said Peshawar’s Hayatabad Medical Complex Director Dr Shehzad Faisal on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Dr Shehzad said the condition of the patient being treated at the hospital was out of danger.
Orakzai was elected to the National Assembly on the MMA (Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal) ticket from NA-45, Kurram I. Previously, he had been elected as MNA as an independent in 2002 and 2008.
Also on Saturday, Kamran Bangash – Special Assistant to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa CM for Local Government and Rural Development – was tested positive for coronavirus.
According to reports, Bangash has been quarantined at his home while 11 of his family members are also tested for the virus as a part of tracing mechanism.
Officials say he was active in field supervising the Water and Sanitation Services Peshawar and had also visited the southern districts recently.
Earlier, a senior doctor Dr Prof Muhammad Javed died of coronavirus in Peshawar on early Saturday morning.
He was being treated at the isolation centre of Hayatabad Medical Complex as he had been diagnosed with the virus 15 days ago. He breathed his last after remaining on ventilator for the past few days.
The deceased doctor was working in the ENT Department of Hayatabad Medical Complex.
