Ishaq Dar directs FBR to expand country’s tax base

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Ishaq Dar has directed the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to multiply its efforts for expanding tax base in the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This he said while chairing a meeting in which the revenue performance of the FBR was analysed.
FBR Chairman Asim Ahmad briefed the meeting about the FBR’s performance on meeting revenue targets during July 2022 and March 2023.
He told the huddle that the FBR will try its utmost to chase down its targets during the remaining months of 2022-23 fiscal year.
Ishaq Dar while expressing his satisfaction on the FBR’s performance assured the chairman of Finance Division’s complete cooperation.
