A 20-year-old girl from Hala, Sindh committed suicide by jumping into the River Indus at Purana Hala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

As soon as they learnt about the incident, family members of the deceased rushed to the site and started imploring the river to throw the girl, Khair Bano Chachro, out.

The girl’s father said that he was a poor man. “My daughter had asked for money to buy new clothes. But when I could not give the amount, she ended her life.”

It is worth-mentioning here that Purana Hala is the same area where five children had drowned three days ago.
