Power Division halts all new recruitments in Discos

The Power Division has imposed an immediate ban on new recruitments in electricity distribution companies (Discos), directing that vacant posts be filled through adjustments of existing employees.

According to instructions issued by the Ministry of Energy, all the discos have been ordered to send updated reports of all vacant posts to the ministry without delay. The recruitment of linemen and assistant linemen will now be carried out only through outsourcing, while direct recruitment in discos has been completely prohibited.

Discos have also been directed to submit their outsourcing plans to the ministry by August 27. The Ministry of Water and Power has warned that strict action will be taken in case of any violation of these directives.
