Gujranwala police raid kites factory, arrest two

Gujranwala police conducted a successful raid on an illegal kites-manufacturing factory and arrested two men on the spot Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to reports, the police found a massive stock of prohibited items inside the factory located in Baghbanpura area.

This included over 5,000 readymade kites, string reels and a large amount of raw material.

To send a strong message to the public, police gathered the entire seized stock at Baghbanpura Chowk and set it on fire, destroying it completely.

The police also registered criminal cases against the two arrested suspects.

Officials stated that kite flying is a dangerous and bloody sport that puts innocent lives at risk. They warned that a strict crackdown will continue against everyone who involved in manufacturing, selling, or flying kites.
