Gold price in Pakistan registers decline
The price of gold in Pakistan dropped on Tuesday in the wake of global market trends.
In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola dropped by Rs800, settling at the highest ever Rs308,700, according to data shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold fell by Rs686, taking it to Rs264,660. In the international market also, the price of gold saw a drop of $8 on Tuesday, reaching $2,940 per ounce with an additional premium of $20. The price of 24-karat silver in the local market also plunged by a major Rs45, reaching Rs3,350 per tola.
