Sajid Hasan invites public ire for defending son’s ‘sin’

Veteran actor Sajid Hasan is facing intense criticism for defending his son, Sahir Hasan, who was arrested in connection with the Mustafa Aamir murder case and serious drug-related offences.

The actor’s stance has triggered public outrage, with many accusing him of trying to shield his son from legal consequences.

During police interrogation, Sahir reportedly made startling confessions, admitting that he procured narcotics from suppliers named Basel and Yahya, selling them in upscale areas of the city. His arrest took place in Defence Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Rahat, after which a formal narcotic case was registered against him.

As the investigation progressed, a video of Sajid Hasan with his son went viral on social media, further fueling public anger. Instead of expressing remorse, Sajid Hasan appeared to be supporting Sahir, which led to a barrage of criticism from netizens.

Social media users flooded the comment section, calling out the actor for defending his son instead of holding him accountable.

One user wrote: "They are posing in the middle of a criminal proceeding??? He seems to be a proud father, and the son seems to be proud of whatever he has done."

Another commented: "I hope he is punished. But I think he will be released because of the support he will get from officials."
