HED seeks explanation from Kh Fareed University over illegal appointments 

The Higher Education Department (HED) has objected to permanent appointments made on three posts in Rahim Yar Khan’s Khawaja Fareed University as the recruitment process has become controversial, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The HED has sought an explanation from the university in three days.

Breach of rules and regulations has been pointed out in the appointments of a registrar and a controller examination.

The HED has also taken notice of not constituting a scrutiny committee.

Only the government is authorized to form a committee for the appointment of a controller and a treasurer.

Irregularities have also been pointed out in the awarding of numbers as marks were given to the least qualified candidates while the most qualified candidates were ignored.

It has also emerged that marks were given to the candidates for the seat of a registrar not keeping in view their competence and experience.

Three candidates for the seat of controller examination were rejected and their banking experience was overlooked.
