PWLF invites entries for 20th Asian Games 2026 trials
The Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWLF) has officially initiated the accreditation and entry process for the upcoming 20th Asian Games, scheduled to be held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4, 2026, 24NewsHD TV reported on Sunday.
In a formal communication addressed to all affiliated units, General Secretary Sidra Gul has requested the submission of names of interested male weightlifters who wish to participate in the trials for the prestigious continental event.
The letter outlines the documentation required for entry submission, which includes a copy of the athlete’s passport and a digital photograph with a white background.
All entries must be submitted to the PWLF office no later than February 2, 2026.
To streamline coordination, the federation has designated Ms. Nuzhat Jabeen as the point of contact for athletes and affiliated units.
She can be reached via email at pakistanwlf1@gmail.com or by phone/WhatsApp at 0300-9493029.
The PWLF’s move comes in collaboration with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), which is overseeing the broader accreditation process for Pakistan’s contingent.
The federation emphasized the importance of timely cooperation from all units to ensure the smooth processing of entries.
The letter also confirms that copies have been forwarded to the Secretary General of POA and the President of PWLF, Jabran Bin Salman, underscoring the administrative alignment behind Pakistan’s preparations for the Asian Games.
