Another big increase in gold prices in Pakistan
Continuing the last week’s trend of increasing prices of yellow metal in Pakistan, the local gold market witnessed another heavy increase of Rs2,800 per tola at the beginning of this week on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the prices of the 24 karats of pure gold in the Pakistani gold market jumped high by Rs2,800 per tola to Rs2,25,300 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of the 24 karats of pure gold increased by Rs2,143 and was traded at Rs1,93,158 per 10 grams in the Pakistani market.
Rates of the gold of 22 karats that is usually used for making jewellery in Pakistan were also increased and traded at Rs1,77,062 per 10 grams.
The rates of gold in the international market on Monday also increased by US$3 per ounce to US$1,966 per ounce.
The price of pure silver of 24 karats did not change and traded at Rs2,750 per tola and Rs2,357.68 per 10 grams in the local market.
It is worth mentioning that gold prices have already increased by Rs15,000 per tola in the last week.
