Mother of two tortured to death by in-laws in Muridke

A mother of two children was allegedly tortured to death by her in-laws over some domestic issue in Muridke, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The deceased identified as Iqra belonged to Gujranwala, and she had been married off to Adil Abbas eight years ago in Muridke.

Iqra’s brother Mubashir told the police in his statement that quarrels used to take place between the couple after the marriage.

“Adil Abbas, his mother and other members of the family tortured Iqra to death over some domestic issue,” he alleged.

The body of the deceased was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for post-mortem.

The family of the girl protested and demanded justice from the Punjab inspector general of police (IGP).

Saddr police launched investigations into the incident.
