Pak Army helps start coal mining in Kurram after 16 years

After 16 years, with the support of Pakistan Army, coal mining has been started in Central Kurram, which was considered as a hideout for terrorists and economically backward area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Out of 170 mines in Central Kurram, 62 coal mines were inaugurated.

More than 650 colliers are working in mines in different areas and with every passing day the number of workers and employment is increasing.

Over 5,000 jobs have been created due to the coal mining activities and the security forces have also eradicated terrorism from Kurram, achieving another milestone in the fight against terrorism.

More than 2,500 families are benefiting from mining employment.

Local people say that initially there were significant difficulties, but now with the efforts of the local government and security forces, many of their problems have been solved.

Along with providing employment to many people outside the area, other problems of the people of the area have also been reduced to a great extent, for which the residents of the area are grateful to the Pakistan Army.
