12 federal govt and 9 Punjab govt officers promoted to grade 21
The federal government has announced the promotion of 12 senior officers to grade 21, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
These promotions were granted to several officers from the Police Service of Pakistan and the Pakistan Administrative Service."
According to an official notification, the newly-promoted officers Saad Akhtar has been directed to continue his duties with Motorway Police, Zaeem Iqbal Sheikh will remain with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Mohammad Tariq Chauhan, Khurram Shakoor, and Shehzada Sultan will continue to serve in the police department.
Waqar Ahmad Chauhan, currently serving as Director General NAB Rawalpindi, promoted to Grade 21 will retain his position, the notification said. Similarly, police officer Azad Khan, posted in the Intelligence Bureau (IB), has been promoted and his services have been placed under the Balochistan government.
Waseem Ahmad Khan, serving in the Punjab government, will continue in his current role following his promotion. Zulfiqar Larak, Sharjeel Karim Kharal, and Iqbal Dara will continue to serve under the Sindh government. Shakeel Ahmad Durrani will remain in FIA.
Officers Abbas Ahsan and Mohammad Tahir have been promoted and posted to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government under the FIA department. Khurram Ali will work under Punjab government, while Humayun Bashir Tarar, who was awaiting posting, has been promoted and assigned to Punjab.
Mohammad Jafar, another police officer serving in FIA, has also been promoted and directed to continue in his present capacity. In the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), 12 officers have been promoted to Grade 21. Among them, Muhammad Nawaz Naseem, currently serving in Sindh, will retain his assignment. Zafar Iqbal has been promoted and will continue serving as Director General of the Federal Government Housing Authority.
Meanwhile, Punjab government has also promoted 9 senior officers of various department to Grade 21. As per the notification, Azmat Mahmood Khan and Saulat Saqib will continue serving under the Punjab government after their promotions. Aamir Jan has been promoted and directed to continue as Executive Director of the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
Likewise, Noreen Bashir, currently serving as Joint Secretary in the Finance Division, has been promoted and appointed as Additional Secretary, while Islam Zaib will remain as Secretary of Finance for the AJK government following his promotion. Dr. Sajid Mehmood Chauhan has been elevated and will remain Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Humayun Khan, formerly Joint Secretary in the Interior Division, has been promoted and appointed Additional Secretary in the Power Division. Trade and Investment Minister at the Pakistan Embassy in the United States, Muhammad Hanif Channa, has also been promoted and will continue in his current assignment.
Dr. Saifur Rehman, serving at the National School of Public Policy, has also been promoted and will continue his duties at the institution. Asif Ikram, currently working with the Sindh government, has likewise been promoted and directed to continue in his role. Punjab Government promoted 9 officers to grade 21.
