The leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi have expressed their heartfelt condolence over the sad demise of ex-premier Nawaz Sharif’s mother in London.

In a telephonic conversation, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain recalled his meetings with the deceased, saying that he met her twice and found her a caring and graceful personality. Punjab Assembly Speaker Parvez Elahi paid tribute to the legend and prayed that the Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Shujaat Hussain and Parvez Elahi also enquired after Nawaz Sharif who has also been facing health issues for months and under treatment in London. Nawaz Sharif expressed gratitude to the PML-Q leadership and prayed for the recovery of Chaudhry Shujaat. Nawaz Sharif’s mother Shamim Akhtar breathed her last a couple of days ago after a prolonged ailment in a London hospital.
