On the matter of the helicopter landing of Imran Khan of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the NOC for the November 26 protest and rally, the administration also rejected the request of the party’s Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has said that landing cannot be allowed if the affidavit is not received from the PTI chairman.
Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan said they have rejected the request as it was submitted by Shah Mehmood Qureshi on the affidavit of Ali Nawaz Awan.
He confirmed that after the submission of the affidavit by PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the decision to the permission of helicopter to land on the parade ground in Islamabad will be taken.
The authority also said PTI has not yet been able to present the agreement signed by Imran Khan to the Islamabad administration despite giving assurance of it to the administration.
Memon said the administration has given conditional permission of holding a rally after getting assurances from the political leaders but there is a lack of implementation on all 36 conditions mentioned in the agreement.
He said that the administration has started considering the cancellation of NOC as the PTI did not follow the conditions of the agreement properly.
