Temperature in Jacobabad reaches 46 degrees Celsius as Sindh bakes

Sindh is in the grip of intense heat these days as temperature in Jacobabad reached 46 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Temperature in Kashmore shot up to 43 degrees Celsius, while it felt like 45 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, temperature in Ghotki and Khairpur touched the 42 degrees Celsius mark, while it was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius at Thari Mirwah.

Earlier, the Met Office had said that heavy rains would lash different parts of the Punjab, including Lahore, until April 29.

The Office predicted heavy rainfall for the upper and southern parts of the province.

Rains, accompanied by strong winds, were also forecast for different parts of KP, Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) during the aforementioned period.

The Office also said that there were chances of some areas receiving hails and lightning as well.

The minimum temperature in Islamabad on Sunday morning was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius, while it was expected to go up to 36 degrees Celsius later in the day.

Breeze was blowing at a speed of seven kilometers per hour.

The weather department said that daytime temperatures in the federal capital were expected to remain higher in the coming days.

It was hot in Lahore early in the morning.

The level of moisture in the air was recorded at 35 per cent.

The maximum temperature was expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius, while it was 28 degrees Celsius on the minimum side.

Hot, humid weather forecast for Karachi

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather has been forecast for Karachi.

The minimum temperature in the port city was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, while it was expected to fluctuate between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

The level of moisture stood at 75 per cent, while breeze was blowing from the west at the speed of eight kilometers per hour.
