Gohar Ejaz Group Thursday won the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) 2021 elections with a clean sweep for the 13th time as all its 12 candidates were elected unopposed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
It was also the 12th time that Gohar Ejaz Group won the elections unopposed.
Later, addressing a news conference in Lahore, group leader Gohar Ejaz thanked the textile industry for reposing trust in him.
He, on the occasion, vowed to enhance the textile products’ exports from the present $13 billion to $25 billion. He added that the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had included some parts of APTMA’s manifesto in its manifesto.

Gohar said he and his colleagues were working for Pakistan’s progress from the platform of APTMA.
Gohar said they have demanded only one thing from the government and that is to set the electricity and gas basis on regional basis.
He said 100 more textile mills were being established in Punjab that will create two million jobs.
APTMA’s election commission has given a deadline of August 25 to submit the applications to contest the elections for 12 seats including seven from Punjab and KPK and five from Sindh and Balochistan. Only 12 candidates submitted their nomination papers and thus all elected unopposed. Those who elected include: Abdul Raheem Nasir, Ahmad SHafi, Bilal Sharif, Hussain Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad, Syed Umar Shah, Amir Sheikh, Asif Inam, Tariq Saud, Murzam Ejaz and Afzal Umar.
