Announcing a big relief for consumers on electricity bills, the Lahore Electricity Supply Company (LESCO) on Friday said that the consumers using up to 200 units would be exempted from the payment of fuel price adjustment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Likewise, it also extended the due date for the payment of bills to 31st August.

The LESCO had to announce the decision after nationwide protests against inflated electricity bills.

New bills of millions of consumers have been updated on the website and they can take a print out of them from the LESCO official website and submit it to the bank.

Other than that, consumers can also submit their bills online instead of visiting the offices.
