Judge Humayun Dilawar discloses security threats to him, children in letter to CJ

The reason for making OSD to Additional District and Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar who sentenced Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case surfaced on Friday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the Judge has written a letter to the Chief Justice (CJ) of Islamabad High Court (IHC) and informed him about receiving security threats from a group to him and his family.
The channel said Judge Humayun Dilawar wrote a letter to the IHC Chief Justice on his return from training in the UK on August 17 and informed him about the security concerns he was facing in the country and abroad.
He told the CJ in the letter that he faced protests and threats while training in the UK. He said after the decision of the case, a campaign was started against him on social media and threats were received from different people from all over the world.
In the letter, he also disclosed that his relatives and children were also receiving constant threats and this campaign was started against him by an organized social media group.
He appealed to the CJ in the letter that in view of the situation, he should be transferred to the Special Courts or the IHC.
Earlier, he was transferred to the IHC as OSD by the Additional Registrar on the instructions of the IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Friday.
Judge Dilawar jailed Imran Khan for three years in his decision in the Toshakhana case announced on August 5. The verdict issued by Judge Dilawar attracted significant attention worldwide.
