Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training, National Heritage and Culture Shafqat Mehmood has said that the decision about reopening schools, colleges and universities would be taken on the fourth of next month, reported City42 – a sister organisation of 24NewsHD TV channel.
Shafqat told the media that a meeting of the provincial education ministers would deliberate upon the issue by reviewing the latest coronavirus situation. They wanted to reopen educational institutions at the earliest, but children’s health was their top priority, he added.
Meanwhile, a similar meeting scheduled for December 30 will take a decision on organising board exams in May and June, starting the new educational year from August and reducing the number of annual summer holidays next year.
