Robbers killed a 35-year-old woman with an iron rod after she offered résistance during a dacoity at Shahdara, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The robbers also took away Rs10,000 and the mobile phone of Rukhsana and fled away from the crime scene after hitting the woman’s head with an iron rod, the TV channel reported. Rukhsana was shifted to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Separately, Punjab Police said policemen have busted a gang involved in the online sale and purchase of theft vehicles in Rawalpindi.
