Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz on Friday constituted a committee as part of preparations for re-election in NA-75 Daska as ordered by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
As per the ECP announcement, the by-election for NA-75 Daska will now be held on March 18.
Party stalwarts Ahsan Iqbal, Rana Sanaullah, Mian Javed Latif, Ata Tarar, Marriyum Aurangzeb and Azma Bukhari are included in the committee.
The committee has been tasked with meeting PML-N leaders in the constituency while Ata Tarar and other members of the party’s lawyers’ wing would look after the legal matters.
Maryam Nawaz and other party leaders would take out rallies in connection with by-polls in NA-75 Daska.
Maryam has directed the party leaders and workers to bring residents of the city to the polling stations in maximum numbers.
Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz, in a tweet, has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s decision to challenge the ECP’s verdict to hold reelection in NA-75 Daska shows that he has something to hide.
Similarly, she added, an attempt by the ‘selected’ prime minister to shield the officials involved in ‘rigging’ proved that this was done on his orders.
