Non-bailable arrest warrants issued for Waseem Akhtar

An anti-terrorism court on Saturday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for ex-Karachi mayor Waseem Akhtar in a case related to providing medical and lodging facilities to terrorists, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court asked the authorities to arrest Waseem Akhtar and produce him before the court during the next hearing.
The court found MQM’s high profile target killer Rais Maama guilty and handed him down 60-year jail term. It also imposed Rs0.3 million fine on him, two times life imprisonment for killing two people and 10-year jail term for injuring constable Riaz.
The court released two accused on insufficient proof.
The accused had killed SP Shah Muhammad Shah and Dr Dilshad in 2013.
A case was registered against the accused in 2015 after a raid of Rangers.
