Sardar Akbar wins president’s slot of LHC Bar Association

Sardar Akbar Dogar of Asma Jahangir group Saturday notched the president’s slot of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Bar Association with a thumping majority, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the election results declared by LHC Bar Association, Sardar Akbar Dogar secured 6,581 votes, whereas, his rival Rana Asadullah Khan of Hamid Khan group could obtain 3,976 votes.
Sohail Shafiq Chaudhary elected LHCBA vice president by securing 4,743 votes. Rana Muhammad Razaq could get 2003 vote, Mian Sardar Ali 1,818, Abdul Karim Khan 1,072 and Adnan Tahir Khan 902 votes.
Rai Usman Ahmad elected LHCBA secretary by getting 4,455 votes. Mian Muhammad Irfan could take 2938 votes, Farooq Allah Baksh Leghari 2,931 and Mian Shabbir Hussain 211.
Finance Secreatry seat was won by Rana Ali Akhtar Khan by obtaining 4,103 votes. M Shahrukh Shahbaz was second with 3,327 votes followed by Falak Naz 2,055, Ahsanuulah Khan 681 and Ramzan Mansha Jatt 385.
