Rana Asif Saeed won the slot of the president of the Multan High Court Bar Association during the annual election contest for 2023-24 here on Saturday.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, he secured 3224 votes while his opponent candidates Sajjad Haider Maitla and Riaz Ul Hassan Gillani got 2001 and 900 votes respectively.

Similarly, Mehr Haseeb Qadir becomes general secretary by bagging 3475 votes. His opposite candidates Syed Anees Mehdi and Ishtiaq Gujjar achieved 1520 and 659 votes respectively. 

Ms Rabia Manal Khan won the seat of vice president securing 4211 votes. Shahid Ghalu secured 1809 votes and was declared vice president.  

On the seat of Finance Secretary, Muhammad Sharif Karkhi Kheda won by securing 3157 votes. 

Meanwhile, Abdul Basit won the president slot of the Bahawalpur High Court Bar Association. He got 1618 votes while his close opponent Yahya Khan got 934 votes. 

Tahir Jatoi was elected General Secretary after getting 1849 votes. He defeated Muhammad Rafiq who got 727 votes. 

Sheikh Mehboob Alam advocate elected as Senior Vice President Bahawalpur. 

Asad Ali Khan was also elected for the post of Vice President Bahawalnagar. 

Meanwhile, Naveed Malik has been elected president of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association. 

Naveed Hayat Malik clinched the top seat by getting 720 votes. His rival presidential candidate Malik Qamar Afzal got 585 votes. 

Rizwan Shabbir Kayani won the seat of General Secretary by securing 907 votes while his opponent Asif Ali got 439 votes. 

Jameel Fayyaz Rajput won the seat of the joint secretary by getting 708 votes.
