A 22-year-old man died after a kite string slit his throat at Aiman Abad- Sialkot Road in the Sialkot district, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.  Lahore

According to the details, the deceased was identified as Ghulam Hussain who was on his way on a bike when a kite string fell on him, slitting his throat.  The locals immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital but he succumbed.  

In another incident, a local namely Abdul Saboor was injured by a kite string. 

Capital City Police Officer Sialkot took immediate notice of the death and sought a report from SP Sialkot. He ordered the concerned police officers to take strict action against the lawless elements involved in violation of the Kite Flying Act.

Several incidents of aerial firing and kite flying were reported in the city but to no avail.
