Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone to back on screen with Pathaan 2
Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are all set to join hands once again for the highly anticipated sequel to their 2023 blockbuster film 'Pathaan'. The script of the movie has already been locked and the shooting would be commenced during the first quarter of 2026.
The film, which is produced by Yash Raj Films is still wrapping up work on the script: however, Siddharth Anand will not be a part of the film’s direction this time. Research for the Pathaan 2 director is still underway.

As per a significant resource, Aditya (Chopra) has been working on Pathaan 2’s script since mid-2023. The sequel aims not only to carry forward Pathaan’s story but also to add larger conflicts in upcoming installments of YRF’s Spy Universe. The script is taking so long due to extensive planning and intricate storytelling. However, the film shooting has not begun yet as Shah Rukh Khan is busy filming his upcoming project King with daughter Suhana Khan which is all set for release in 2026: however, on the other hand, Deepika Padukone is enjoying her maternity break.
