Two dacoits killed in Lahore police encounters
Two notorious dacoits were shot dead during two police encounters in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
These police encounters took place in the Iqbal Town and Civil Line areas of Lahore.
In the first police encounter, a Crime Control Department (CCD) team was taking an arrested accused Ali Ahmad, for recovery in the Sabzazar area.
After taking notice of the police party, some colleagues of dacoit Ali Ahmad started firing on the police party.
During heavy exchange of fire, the accused Ali Ahmad received severe bullet wounds and died. Crime Control Department sources said that the accused was involved in various criminal cases which including kidnapping for ransom and other criminal cases.
The second police encounter occurred in the Civil Lines area, where an under-custody accused Ghulam Dastgir was died by the firing of colleagues.
The police were taking the accused to Koral Pind when some colleagues started firing on the police party. The Crime Control Department team said that the dead accused was involved in dacoity incidents in Lahore.
The police shifted the dead bodies of both dacoits to the local hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.
