Sindh appoints designer Asim Jofa as adviser for PPE quality control

Sindh Minister of Health and population welfare department has appointed fashion designer Asim Jofa adviser for quality control of Personal protective equipment (PPE).
Jofa was among the first ones who came forward and researched on making the PPE to combat the pandemic and has been successful in developing and distributing it free of cost in hospitals, NGO’S, private and non-private organisations.
Taking to Facebook, the designer announced the news and wrote: “Alhamdolillah I have been appointed an advisor for the quality control of PPE by Sindh Ministry of health for the whole province. Never thought that I would be appointed to do something of this genre for the city where I was born. It’s an honour & a privilege for me & my team and we will try to serve our province to the best of our ability.

He further added: “As per our prior commitment to the cause we will render our services FOC. We were among the first ones who came forward & researched on making the PPE within our own means and Alhamdollillah we have been successful in developing & distributing it FOC among hospitals, govt, NGOs private, non-private organisations throughout the country.”
He concluded saying: “Now being appointed an adviser my aim is to make Pakistan 100% self-reliant in manufacturing high quality PPE locally within our available resources. May Allah help us in this daunting task.”
