Acid attack victim succumbed to injuries in Multan
Victim Abid’s girlfriend Rukhsana poured a gallon of acid on him for severing relationship
An acid attack victim succumbed to injuries after seven-day battle in Nishtar Hospital Multan, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Thursday.
The deceased identified as Abid was resident of Bahawalnagar who was targeted with acid attack by his girlfriend for breaking up relation.
The victim told police that he had established relations with Rukhsana Bibi four years ago. The victim told the police later he decided to quit the relation. But Rukhsana allegedly kept him calling day and night requesting for meeting.
Resultantly, Abid went to her house late night on June 18. Police said when Abid knocked the door, Rukhsana quickly poured a gallon of acid on him which severely burnt his face and other body parts.
The injured was rushed to Nishtar Hospital burn unit where he battled with the burnt injuries for one week and succumbed to injuries on Thursday.
After the completion of medico-legal procedure, victim’s body was handed over to his family. Lodhran police have registered a case against Rukhsana on Abid’s statement.
