India should realise Kashmiris’ life under lockdown: Elahi
Punjab Assembly Speaker Ch Parvez Elahi Thursday lashed out at India over a seven-month lockdown in occupied Kashmir to crush Muslims movement for right to self-determination.
Dubbing lockdown in India to stem coronavirus ‘wrath of the Almighty’ for atrocities in Kashmir, he said Delhi should realise the plight of Kashmiris under the forced isolation.
“The lockdown has also reached the houses of Indian government that locked down Kashmiris,” he said in a video message on Thursday.
The speaker said: “Those who are keeping Kashmiris in lockdown for 235 days should understand that the stick of God is voiceless. BJP extremists must realize the plight of Kashmir people under lockdown.”
He called upon the international community to wake up to getting Kashmir and Palestine issues resolved to mitigate sufferings of people.
