Poverty becomes crime on Friday as a landlord in Hafizabad unleashed a dog on a child labourer for not following his son's orders, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The landlord in the suburban village of Bari Tarar was furious with the child labourer for disobedience. He let loose the dog on the nine-year-old boy, Ahmad, who received serious dog bite injuries.

On getting information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the boy to a trauma centre. The police also arrested landlord Bilal Hassan and registered a case against him.

The DPO Hafizabad said they are interrogating the accused and will try to get him punished in accordance with the law.
