Yasir Hussain, disappointed in the system, quoted Veteran Poet Munir Niazi’s “Hamesha dair kar deta hoon main” in his story captioning Qavi Khan’s photo and Tamgha-I-Imtiaz awarded to him after his passing. He pointed at the thought that Artists should be awarded the accolades they deserve when they are alive and not as an honor when they have passed.

On 23rd of March, in the ceremony of Pakistan Day, President Dr. Arif Alvi bestowed civil awards to 135 citizens and foreign nationals in recognition of their excellence.

Veteran legendary actor Qavi Khan was also awarded with Nishan-e-Imtiaz for his excellent works in television and film industry throughout his life. 

Yasir expressed that even if the accolade was awarded when it was too late, Qavi Khan was very deserving of it. He stated that every artist above the age of 50 should awarded such accolades when they are alive and when they can cherish it, otherwise nobody will gain from the honors.

Ushna Shah also tweeted about this matter sharing her two cents.

She questioned the showbiz industry about Khan not receiving a single lifetime achievement award from the TV industry before his passing.
