Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif met Trainee Sub-Inspector Yasir Naseeb and expressed regret over an MPA’s misbehaviour. The city police chief was also present at the meeting.
Yasir Naseeb bore the brunt of flagging down a lawmaker’s car in the Baghbanpura area of Lahore a few days ago.
Reportedly. Yasir Naseeb was transferred after he ‘dared’ flag down PML-N MPA Malik Waheed riding in a car with black windows.
A video circulating on social media exposed MPA Waheed threatening the cop and his teammates with dire consequences if they didn’t ‘excuse’ or tender an ‘apology’ for their ‘big mistake’ in front of the camera and the crowd.

In the meeting with the cop, the chief minister said. “I am very ashamed of the incident.
The CM listened to Yasir Naseeb’s story and asked him to continue doing duty with dedication.
She said: “Never apologize to anyone while fulfilling the responsibility.
“Be it MPA, MNA, or Chief Minister, no one is above the law.
“I have served a show-cause notice on my MPA.
The chief minister directed the CCPO to avert such acts and ask her before taking action like transfer/posting on the ‘directives’ of an influential.
“No one is above the law,” Maryam asserted, adding “We all should respect the law and set an example.”
