Mike Hesson eyes strong start against Bangladesh

Pakistan’s newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson has said that the national team is focused on both improving its international ranking and preparing effectively for the ICC T20 World Cup, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Speaking to the media at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Monday, Hesson shared his plans for Pakistan's white-ball future and the brand of cricket he aims to instill.

“We are aiming for a strong start against Bangladesh. A good performance against Bangladesh will not only boost team morale but also help us climb the ICC rankings,” he elaborated. 

He said that Babar and Rizwan are outstanding players and an integral part of our white-ball plans. 

There are areas where improvement is needed; both of them are working hard to enhance their games,” Hesson noted.

Hesson also stressed the importance of playing not just aggressive but smart cricket. 

“It’s not just about playing attacking cricket. We need to play intelligent cricket.

 We have a clear understanding of the brand of cricket we want to play,” he said.

 He acknowledged the quality of the Bangladesh team, describing them as a formidable opponent. 

  Hesson made it clear that the Bangladesh series is a vital step in the team’s preparation for the T20 World Cup.
