An accountability court in Lahore on Thursday declared Rabia Imran – daughter of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif – and his son Suleman Shehbaz absconders in the money laundering case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Meanwhile, Haroon Yousaf – one of his two sons-in-law – as well as Tahir Naqvi and Ali Ahmed Khan are also now among the proclaimed offenders.
During the hearing, the counsel for Shehbaz said medical facilities had not been extended to his client and requested that copies of CT scan and MRI test should be provided.
In his reply, the accountability court judge, Jawad-ul-Hassan, directed him to file a written application before adjourning the further hearing till December 3.
The judge offered his condolences to Shehbaz over the demise of his mother Begum Shamim Akhtar who recently passed away in London and prayed for her departed soul.
Later, Deputy Secretary Faisal Bilal, ECP Deputy Director Khalid Mehmood and Tayyab Zawar – who previously served as assistant director at ECP and is currently posted as district election officer in Muzaffargarh – recorded their statements as the prosecution witnesses.
