PDM announces protest in Islamabad on Oct 31 

The opposition alliance, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Tuesday decided to stage a protest demonstration against inflation in Islamabad on October 31.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PDM’s local leaders held a meeting at the Nawaz League’s central secretariat in Islamabad and took the decision to hold a protest.

The meeting was attended by the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Islamabad President Dr Tariq Fazal and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam head Maulana Abdul Majeed Hazarvi.

Leaders of the National Party, Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party also attended the meeting and endorsed the decision to stage a protest against inflation in Islamabad on Sunday.

The meeting finalized the arrangements for the demonstration outside the National Press Club Islamabad at 2 pm.

In the meeting, sub-committees including a stage committee, media committee, management committee, and transport committee were also formed for the arrangements of the demonstration.

Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the workers from Islamabad and suburb areas would arrive at the National Press Club in the form of rallies on October 31.
