The government has failed to ensure the supply of Panadol tab in the country creating an immense problem for the people, especially for dengue patients, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

There is a severe shortage of Panadol in Lahore city where Panadol is being sold in the market either at high prices or being black-marketed due to the shortage in the market. 

It is worth mentioning here that the Punjab health department had requested the DRAP for ensuring its regular supply in the province but its request did not yield fruit. There is a fifty per cent supply of the drug in the city observed as compared to its demand. Similarly, the dengue outbreak has pushed up the demand for paracetamol in the city.

Though DRAP has increased drug prices by nine to 15 per cent during the current year, the manufacturer is still reluctant to continue its production.
