Imran Khan in Sialkot

Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, who is presently in Punjab to muster support for the party’s long march on Islamabad, scheduled to start day after tomorrow (Friday, October 28, 2022) to press the coalition government to call general elections early, left his Zaman Park residence in Lahore for Sialkot on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference yesterday, Imran said that the PTI’s long march would be peaceful, and the party workers would not enter the federal capital’s Red Zone.

Millions from Lahore will participate in march: PTI leader

On the other hand, talking to the media outside the Zaman Park, PTI leader Hammad Azhar said that millions of people from Lahore would join the party’s march. “And they will not be from the PTI only, but also from other parties,” he said, and appealed to the people not to stay in their homes but to join the march in droves.

He said it was not merely a march, but the beginning of ‘change’.

Hammad was of the opinion that the PTI chairman’s announcement of start of the march on Friday was a timely decision. “Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi is our ally, and he is fully cooperating with us,” he informed.

PTI’s long march, he assured, would not create inconvenience to the people. “In fact, it is for their benefit,” he asserted.
