CJP calls review meeting of Supreme Judicial Council tomorrow

Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa has convened a review meeting of Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) in Islamabad on Friday (tomorrow), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Justice Sardar Tariq Masood and Justice Ijazul Ahsan are among the members of the SJC while the CJP will preside over the meeting, which will start at 11:30 am.

According to sources, the SJC meeting review the complaints filed against the judges of the higher judiciary.

It may be mentioned here that complaints had been filed against Supreme Court judges including Justice Mazahir Naqvi.

Retired CJP Umar Ata Bandial had referred the complaints against Justice Mazahir Naqvi to senior judge Justice Sardar Tariq for scrutiny.

Justice Sardar Tariq had forwarded his legal advice on the complaints against Justice Naqvi on September 25.

As many as 10 complaints had been filed in SJC against Justice Mazahir Naqvi during the current year.
